AIBL
One of the world's largest long-term follow-up cohorts for Alzheimer's disease, AIBL (Australian Aging Imaging, Biomarkers and Lifestyle Flagship), was led by Professor Colin Masters, one of the global discoverers of Aβ.
In 2006, a follow-up database was established in 2200 participants, 1550 of whom had consecutive Aβ PET and MRI imaging records.
Florey
The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, Australia's first and fourth in the world, is also one of the world's largest and most respected neuroscience research institutes, dedicated to studying how the brain affects our behaviour and how best to diagnose, treat and prevent various neurological and mental health disorders. Researchers at the Institute work in a variety of fields, including cognitive science, neurobiology, molecular neurobiology, and clinical neuroscience, with the goal of understanding how the brain works, discovering new treatments, and improving quality of life.
