On the occasion of the 31st World Alzheimer's Disease Day, in order to raise public awareness and concern about Alzheimer's disease (commonly known as dementia, referred to as AD), prevent and slow down the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease, and effectively increase the sense of health gain of the elderly, In the afternoon of September 20, the 2024 World Alzheimer's Day promotional activities were held at the Yuhua District Public Health Building, hosted by the Yuhua District Health and Wellness Bureau, undertaken by the Dongjing Street Office and the Dongjing Street Community Health Service Centre, and co-organized by Hunan Qankorey Biotechnology Co.,Ltd.
The relevant persons in charge of the health system of Yuhua District, Yuhua Economic Development Zone, Dongjing Street, 14 Community Health Service Centres (Health Centres) in Yuhua District, Zhengqian Dai, CEO of Qankorey company together with the person in charge of relevant departments and residents of Yuhua District, a total of more than 120 people attended. At the event, Bo Zhang, Secretary of the Party Group and director of Yuhua District Health Bureau, delivered a speech. And Guanghong Xiang, the director of the Department of Neurology of the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province, brought a health micro lecture to introduce the importance of early screening for Alzheimer's disease in simple terms, including the diagnosis and treatment status of Alzheimer's disease, the golden intervention period, treatment costs, risk factors and the significance of early screening, so that residents present have a comprehensive understanding of this disease.
Rong Cao, project director of Qankorey company, introduced in detail the public welfare activities of early screening of Alzheimer's disease over 50 years old in Yuhua District since the end of March to make a phased work results report.
At the event, Yana Zhang, member of the Party Committee of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and head of the Education Section, called on all sectors of society to pay attention to Alzheimer's disease, actively participate in early screening and prevention actions, and create a good social atmosphere to prevent Alzheimer's disease and help elderly patients with cognitive impairment.
